I am writing as a constituent from <<Town>> to urge you to vote in favor of the upcoming resolution before the County Board of Supervisors addressing ICE enforcement and its impact on our community.

Across the country, we are seeing troubling reports of increasingly aggressive immigration enforcement tactics, including actions that raise serious concerns about due process, constitutional rights, and community safety. This resolution does not attempt to rewrite federal law. It simply affirms that Columbia County’s role is to serve and protect our residents, uphold constitutional rights, and focus our local resources on community well-being — not take on expanded federal immigration enforcement responsibilities.

Supporting this resolution sends a clear message: Columbia County stands for public safety, due process, and the dignity of every person who calls this community home.
